Come to Mission Farm every Thursday of every month for the new Killington Farmers’ Market. In conjunction with the Recreation and Parks Department of the Town of Killington AND the Killington Pico Area Association, Church of Our Saviour/Mission Farm is hosting this event. Local vendors include organic farmers, cheese makers, bakers (including our own baker, Tim Owings), chicken farmers (eggs), artisans and more.
The market runs from 3.30-6.30 PM on. The first market is Thursday 13 June and will run through to Thursday 3 October. The market will be open, rain or shine.
This summer, weekly special events are scheduled for the Farmers’ Market to make Thursday afternoons at Mission Farm even more fun. Cathy Foutch Killington’s Rec Director will lead the first event with a children’s craft project, and on June 20th a group bike ride will start at Mission Farm at 4 PM. Other scheduled events will include more children’s projects, outdoor yoga, Peter Huntoon, Au Plein Air Artiste, group painting instruction, seed exchange, group hike and a blessing of the animals. The Killington Farmers Market is possible by collaborative effort by the Killington Recreation Department, the Killington Pico Area Association and Church of Our Saviour.
The Killington Farmers Market is still accepting vendor applications for Summer 2019. Please contact Cathy Foutch, firstname.lastname@example.org for details and to confirm your interest and availability to commit to the THURSDAYS Farmers’ Market in Killington!
